President to open crumb rubber plants in Palembang

Palembang (ANTARA News) - President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono is scheduled to open three crumb rubber plants in Palembang on December 19, local municipal administration spokesman Marwan Hasmen said here on Monday.

"The three crumb rubber plants are all located in Kertapati sub district," Marwan said after leading a preparatory meeting for the president`s visit.

He said the plants would produce two kinds of processed rubber, namely Standard Indonesian Rubber (SIR) 10 and SIR 20.

In addition, the president was also scheduled to inaugurate two crude palm oil (CPO) plants at two separate locations in South Sumatra.

Marwan said for the purpose, the Palembang municipal administration in cooperation with the South Sumatra provincial administration had done the necessary coordination work to make Yudhoyono`s program a success.
