“… The Shift in Human Nature

You're starting to see integrity change. Awareness recalibrates integrity, and the Human Being who would sit there and take advantage of another Human Being in an old energy would never do it in a new energy. The reason? It will become intuitive, so this is a shift in Human Nature as well, for in the past you have assumed that people take advantage of people first and integrity comes later. That's just ordinary Human nature.

In the past, Human nature expressed within governments worked like this: If you were stronger than the other one, you simply conquered them. If you were strong, it was an invitation to conquer. If you were weak, it was an invitation to be conquered. No one even thought about it. It was the way of things. The bigger you could have your armies, the better they would do when you sent them out to conquer. That's not how you think today. Did you notice?

Any country that thinks this way today will not survive, for humanity has discovered that the world goes far better by putting things together instead of tearing them apart. The new energy puts the weak and strong together in ways that make sense and that have integrity. Take a look at what happened to some of the businesses in this great land (USA). Up to 30 years ago, when you started realizing some of them didn't have integrity, you eliminated them. What happened to the tobacco companies when you realized they were knowingly addicting your children? Today, they still sell their products to less-aware countries, but that will also change.

What did you do a few years ago when you realized that your bankers were actually selling you homes that they knew you couldn't pay for later? They were walking away, smiling greedily, not thinking about the heartbreak that was to follow when a life's dream would be lost. Dear American, you are in a recession. However, this is like when you prune a tree and cut back the branches. When the tree grows back, you've got control and the branches will grow bigger and stronger than they were before, without the greed factor. Then, if you don't like the way it grows back, you'll prune it again! I tell you this because awareness is now in control of big money. It's right before your eyes, what you're doing. But fear often rules. …”

Indonesian Government Officially Bans ISIS

Jakarta. The Indonesian government on Monday officially banned the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria, saying the militant outfit should not be allowed to spread its teachings in the archipelago.

“The government bans ISIS from developing in Indonesia, because it goes against the ideology of Pancasila, the unitary Indonesian nation-state and pluralism,” Djoko Suyanto, coordinating minister for political, legal and security affairs, said during a press conference at the president’s office on Monday. “Every attempt to promote ISIS should be prevented, Indonesia should not be the place to spread [this ideology].”

The announcement came after a limited cabinet meeting about ISIS led by President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono.

Djoko was accompanied by high-ranking officials when declaring the ban, including Religious Affairs Minister Lukman Hakim Saifuddin, Foreign Affairs Minister Marty Natalegawa, National Intelligence Agency (BIN) chief Marciano Norman, Justice and Human Rights Minister Amir Syamsuddin, military chief Gen. Moeldoko and Gen. Sutarman, the chief of National Police.

“The activities of ISIS and now IS [Islamic State, as the movement officially calls itself] have since the beginning been monitored by some ministries, [including] the Religious Affairs Ministry, the Foreign Affairs Ministry, and the National Police,” Djoko said.

He said that ISIS should not be understood as a religious movement, but as an ideology that runs counter to Indonesia’s state ideology of Pancasila. The National Police and the National Counterterrorism Agency (BNPT), Djoko added, would lead the law enforcement effort against ISIS activities in Indonesia.

The minister also said that regardless of the situation in the Middle East, support from Indonesia should be in the form of humanitarian aid and diplomacy, not by sending people to fight, which would only make matters worse. “Let’s not get influenced, and not be easily provoked to join ISIS,” Djoko said.

The government also said it would be monitoring Indonesians who plan to travel to countries in the Middle East and South Asia where there is armed conflict, to ensure they will not be joining or working for ISIS. “The Foreign Affairs Ministry will take the lead, the National Police and the BNPT will be the clearing house to monitor Indonesian citizens who travel to the Middle East, South Asia and other conflict regions,” Djoko said.

Indonesia warns state firms on Dubai fallout

JAKARTA, Dec.1 (Xinhua) -- Indonesian State Enterprises Ministry has warned state firms engaging in business in Dubai to watch out for developments in the Dubai World's debt crisis and its impacts, before investing further, a paper said here Tuesday.

Global markets are tumbling after Dubai World, the conglomerate that has long been the chief engine behind Dubai's explosive growth, last Wednesday announced it needed at least a six-month reprieve from paying its debts.

Secretary to the State Minister for the ministry Said Didu quoted by the Jakarta Post as saying that several Indonesia's state construction firms, such as Adhi Karya, and Wijaya Karya have been working on infrastructure projects there.

"State construction companies should stop or postpone their plans to expand their businesses in Middle-East countries," Didu said in a hearing with lawmakers.

State firms, including construction firms PT Adhi Karya and PT Wijaya Karya, may have to temporarily put a brake on their expansion in the Middle East as it is feared the fallout of the Dubai World default could trigger a knock-on effect.

Adhi Karya, for instance, has just completed the construction of a 35-floor apartment at Al-Burj in Dubai, the world's highest tower complex.

It is eying several other projects in the region, including an 106 million U.S. dollars project in Oman, in cooperation with a local company, Adhi Oman.

Meanwhile, Wijaya Karya has two new projects that should be started by the end of the year. One of them is the construction of two power plants each having the capacity of 2 x 500 megawatts in Saudi Arabia.

Meanwhile, the development of a resort project in Lombok, West Nusa Tenggara of Indonesia, to be largely financed by Dubai-based real estate developer Emaar Properties seems to have hit a snag with the Indonesian government now questioning the firms's commitment to the project.

Emaar, a subsidiary of Dubai World, signed a joint venture agreement with the Bali Tourism Development Corporation in 2008, under which it is committed to investing 600 million U.S. dollars to build a resort.

Fujaira Emirate ready to help promote RI products

Sana`a (ANTARA News) - The emirate of Fujaira which is part of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) has expressed its readiness to establish cooperation with the Indonesian Trade Promotion Center to promote Indonesian products through exhibitions in the emirate.

Al-Bayan daily said in its Friday edition that the chairman of the Fujaira Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Khalid Al-Jasem, had expressed the chamber`s preparedness to encourage local businessmen to establish direct contacts with Indonesian counterparts.

He said the chamber also wished to have a chance to learn from Indonesia`s experience in developing the small-scale business sector because it wanted the emirate`s youth to run such businesses.

Khalid made the statement after a meeting with Husein Bagis, the head of the Indonesian Trade Promoting Center in the UAE.

Bagis, meanwhile, had indicated the Indonesian government`s wish to increase its cooperation with the UAE in many sectors, including in economy and trade.

He called on UAE busines people to study investment opportunities in Indonesia, mainly in the tourism and hotel sectors.

Bagis also invited UAE businessmen to visit an annual exhibition of Indonesian products held every October in Jakarta.

Three Arab Banks to Acquire Local Banks Next Year

TEMPO Interactive, Dubai: Three banks from the Middle East region will soon realize their plans to acquire several local banks in Indonesia.

“Arab banks are really interested in buying or opening new branches in Indonesia,” said Alwi Shihab. Indonesia’s Traveling Ambassador for the Middle East Region, on the sidelines of the Indonesia Solo Exhibition in Dubai yesterday (12/17).

The three banks include Al-Barakah Islamic Bank (Bahrain), Qatar Islamic Bank and Jordan Islamic Bank.

“They have seriously prepared to acquire small bans in Indonesia,” said Alwi.

Earlier, Bank Indonesia had announced the names of two Arab banks names that intend to acquire Indonesian banks: Al-Baraqah and Qatar Islamic.

According to Alwi, these Arab banks have already signed initial memorandum of understanding agreements with local banks.

“They will possibly proceed to a more concrete process by the beginning of next year,” he said.

In addition, the three banks have already had discussions with Bank Indonesia.

However, Alwi was still reluctant to name which banks will be acquired.

“Small banks. I cannot explain yet.”

Alwi said he considered Indonesian banks were less aggressive than Malaysian ones with the result that more Arab banks have opened branches in Malaysia.

Indonesia Targeting Transaction of US$15 Million at Dubai

TEMPO Interactive, Dubai: About 170 Indonesian enterprises are taking part in the Indonesia Solo Exhibition in Dubai, the United Arab Emirates, and transactions are targeted at US$15 million.

“This is a 10 percent growth compared to the previous exhibition that was held in Sharjah,” said Syahrul R. Sampurna Jaya, Head of Center for Development of Middle East and Africa Market at the National Exports Development Agency at Dubai yesterday (12/17).

The exhibition is taking place at the World Trade Center building between 15 December and 20 December.

The International Autumn Trade Fair 2006, held by the government of Dubai and Style Hong Kong, is also taking place simultaneously at the same location.

The Dubai government, said Syahrul, has invited around 25,000 potential buyers to attend the exhibitions.

“Because of this, we are confident that the transactions will exceed US$15 million,” he said.

In the previous exhibitions, Indonesia had only sent around 30 companies.

“Now, they are around 170 companies. We have also rented more space,” said Syahrul.

The Middle East market, according to him, is very potential to be developed compared to other markets.

The reason for this is that, added Syahrul, regulations as well as terms and conditions at the Middle East market are far more flexible. In addition, with the increase in global oil prices, the region has enjoyed extremely rapid economic growth.
