9 million tax forms filed this year: Official

The government has received more than 9 million tax forms (SPT) that were filed this year, Taxation Director General Fuad Rahmany announced Wednesday.

“The data on the number of tax forms received as of May 5, 2011 for the 2010 tax period, reached 9,033,233 forms,” Fuad said Wednesday.

He added that this figure included 8,556,351 tax forms filed by individuals and 466,882 filed by enterprises.

Fuad further added that there was a 16.8 percent increase in the total number of tax forms filed so far this year compared to 2010.

“There were 15.1 percent or 1,127,692 more personal tax forms and 53.2 percent or 162,270 more corporate tax forms submitted this year compared to last year,” he added, as reported by tribunnews.com.
