Immigration bans 26 graft suspects on traveler check case

The Justice and Human Rights Ministry Directorate General for Immigration has issued a travel ban for 26 suspects related to a bribery investigation. The 26 individuals are former member of the House of Representatives Commission IX who served the 1999-2004 term.

“The travel restriction has been effective since last Wednesday, Sept. 8,” spokesman M.J. Baringbing told tempointeraktif.com on Thursday, adding that all suspects have received a letter of notification.

The 26 former lawmakers were allegedly involved in the bribery case which centers on provision of travelers checks in exchange to their vote for Miranda Swaray Goeltom as Bank Indonesia’s second highest official in 2004, according to tempointeraktif.com.

The suspects are:

  3. Paskah Suzetta (Golkar Party)
  4. Boby Suhardiman (Golkar Party)
  5. Antony Zeidra Abidin (Golkar Party)

  7. Asep Ruchimat Sudjana (Golkar Party)
  8. Reza Kamarullah (Golkar Party)
  9. Baharuddin Aritonang (Golkar Party)
  10. Hengky Baramuli (Golkar Party)
  11. Agus Condro Prayitno (Democratic Party of Struggle)
  12. Max Moein (Democratic Party of Struggle)
  13. Rusman Lumbantoruan (Democratic Party of Struggle)
