KPK set to grill KSSK officials over Century case

The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) has scheduled to summon several officials at the now-defunct Financial System Stability Committee (KSSK) to inquire them over possible corruption in the controversial bailout process of then Bank Century.

KSSK officials include Finance Minister Sri Mulyani as the chairwoman, then Bank Indonesia governor Boediono (now Vice President) as a member and Raden Pardede as a secretary. Raden has undergone KPK questioning in early January.

KPK spokesman Johan Budi, however, refused to go into details on who will the anti-graft body probe into or when.

He said that the KPK would also probe into more officials at the central bank and at Bank Century.

“The plans came after the KPK leaders analyzed the information they have gathered so far through a hearing on Monday night,” he added.

The KPK has held four hearings so far in its investigations on graft that allegedly occurred in Century's handling of the central bank's Rp 689 billion (US$75 million) short-term liquidity support (FPJP), the Rp 6.76 trillion bailout, and the subsequent channeling of funds.
