TEMPO Interactive, Jakarta:Indonesia Corruption Watch (ICW), an anticorruption NGO, reported an indication of corruption in Aceh to the Commission of Corruption Eradication yesterday.
Agus Sunaryanto, the Head of the ICW Investigation Division, along with the Aceh Anticorruption Movement and the Aceh Transparency Society said that there were five cases of corruption in Aceh with a state loss amounting to Rp341.94 billion.
The five cases, Agus continued, are namely the case of state asset selling in the form of heavy equipment in North Aceh, a direct appointment of the Sabang development project, the procurement of CT Scan in Zainal Abidin General Hospital.
From the five cases, ICW assumes that there are 39 Aceh officials implicated.
Because of this, they are pushing the KPK to take over the case from the Aceh police.
