DENPASAR: Bali's economy displayed a strong resilience against the global economic crisis in 2009 by achieving a 5.33 percent growth.
The Bali statistic office head Ida Komang Wisnu said the growth occurred across the economic spectrum, from agriculture to trade.
"Tourism-related trade, specifically the hotel and restaurant sub-sector, booked the highest growth of 6.24 percent," he said Thursday.
The growth made the hotel and restaurant subsector the largest contributor to the island's economy, followed by agriculture commodities. - JP
