BEIJING, March 19 (Xinhua) -- China vowed Thursday to step up cooperation with Indonesia to tackle challenges and seek development.
In a meeting with Indonesia's acting Coordinating Minister for Economy Sri Muyani Indrawati in Beijing, Vice Premier Li Keqiang said China greatly valued cooperation with neighboring developing countries, including Indonesia.
China was willing to share its technologies and experience with Indonesia on boosting infrastructure and industrial development, Li told Sri Muyani.
Li hoped the two sides could work closer to boost cooperation in energy, construction and finance.
China was facing difficulties posed by the international financial crisis and slowdown of the world economy, Li said. The government had implemented policies to stimulate domestic demand and remained confident of maintaining economic growth.
"I hope the two countries can together deal with the challenges and achieve joint development," Li said.
Sri Muyani said Indonesia would continue to boost cooperation with China in fields such as energy to push forward economic and trade relations.
China and Indonesia have set 30 billion U.S. dollars as the target of their two-way trade for 2010. In 2008 the figure had already reached 28 billion dollars, according to Chinese government statistics.
