A foreign exchange trader counts Ben Franklins in Jakarta on Sunday. The rupiah continued to weaken against the US dollar last week, falling as low as Rp 12,000 to the dollar. Traders tend to hold on to their US currency amid uncertainty in the financial market, despite the compromise reached Saturday between the US House of Representatives and Senate on President Obama’s stimulus plan.
