Ministry of Finance has said that the Indonesian economy grew 6.2 percent in the 2008 state budget despite global economic crisis influencing the country in the third and fourth quarter, tempointeraktif.com has reported.
The ministry's spokesperson Harry Z. Soeratin said Saturday that such number was below the assumption 6.4 percent set in the state budget's change in 2008.
“However, we have been able to achieve inflation at 11.4 percent thanks to the government's decision to lower subsidized fuel prices and enough food supply throughout the year,” he said. (ewd)
