Canada Renews Grant of 24 Million Dollars

TEMPO Interactive, Jakarta: The Canadian government is still committed to helping Indonesia. This was said by the Canadian Ambassador to Indonesia, John Holmes. Every year, the grant from the country is 24 million Canadian Dollars on average (equivalent to around Rp193.2 billion).

Holmes’ statement was supported by the Deputy State Minister for National Development Planning for Division of Development Funding, Lukita Dinarsyah Tuwo. According to Lukita, Canada’s grant has been given directly for a few years.

This grant is allocated to fund the program of poverty prevention, the environment and gender equality. Every year the Indonesian and Canadian governments sign the grant agreement.
